Breaking the Mold without Forgetting the Old

Every 30 Minutes

This my little semi-mediocre creative side trying to figure out a way to stiffle the temptation of writing about the same thing. So for every 30 minutes in my day, until I went home, I wrote down two lines about what was going on. Hope you enjoy.

There is frost on my windows
And my face is cold
The music is playing
And the police drove by
The parking lot is full
And it is cold outside
This class is boring
And I am really hungry
I wish people didn't smoke
because it makes me feel sick
I love the library
That girl is pretty
Delicious
This lunch is fantastic
Another walk in the cold bewteen classrooms
And on to another class
This professor is actually really smart
I wonder if he plays hockey

Yes! And, thus, the discipline of writing exercises marches out of the classroom and into the world. Very sly, Rick. And n otice how we get a lot of work done without trying to hard. I like your intros to this and the next post; taken together, it might be your next challenge (in this exercise you invented) to leave out the "I."
