Men's Encounter--Dear Dad

Dear Dad,

I look around and I see you here. You amaze me. You work so much in my heart and every other heart here—all at once. I love you. Jesus thank you because with out you suffering on that cross I couldn’t be here in your presence. I would be in bondage and in cage of suffering. Thank you for your Spirit.
Before, I would say I am unworthy of your gift, but I do not want to be like that anymore. I will say thank you for this amazing gift you have paid for; I will enjoy it with a thankful heart. Thank you for your healing on the cross and every promise you gave. Dad people here are crying. You are working; I see you here. I never want to be away from you. I hate seeing and believing the lies that Satan gives me about who you are and what you think and feel about me. I can’t help but want to cry in joy, with you Dad, as you touch every heart in here. There is none like you; I want to be just like you. You are a warrior conquering Satan. You are removing shackles and guiding us out of prison and there you are waiting with open arms. You don’t even care what we look like or what we’ve been through. Thank you Jesus; we are free. I’m your child and so too are my brothers. Dad when, other than in your presence, do you see men with tears dripping down their nose and comforting one another in strength beyond this world. We are laying hands on one another in a love and compassion that is stronger than any force here on this earth. It is your love for your sons. Thank you.
Dad I see that true strength is being vulnerable to your Spirit. True love is compassion for another’s heart. Being a man is taking responsibility for mistakes and admitting we can do nothing but cry out to our Father. You wait with open arms for us to jump up on you your lap so that you can protect us and free us and make us strong. Thank you for loving me Dad. I want you to know that I love you too.

Victory

It seems to me
That through Christ
We have Victory
It is for all to see
That through Christ
We have Victory
Victory
Victory

In Him
In Him
In Him
In Him

Falling face down
To the one
Who wears the crown
Most beautiful sound
Is when seed falls
On good ground

It seems to me
That through Christ
We have Victory
It is for all to see
That through Christ
We have Victory
Victory
Victory

In Him
In Him
In Him
In Him

Satan is done
Through Christ
We have won!
Let me tell you
That through the Son
We have won!

It seems to me
That through Christ
We have Victory
It is for all to see
That through Christ
We have Victory
Victory
Victory

In Him
In Him
In Him
In Him

Candle

Each of us
Has a candle
A fire inside
That we will not hide

Let your candle glow
Let the Word of God flow
Go to the place of dark
And with a little spark
Let power go

We will raise our candle
And light up the sky
Bringing the Word
To the dark deep
And to the ones on high
In the name of Jesus
We will shine for all to see
For His name we will be
A light to all
So that none will perish
Or fall

Our own candle is not much to behold
It does not provide much heat
When it is cold
But when Jesus is our candle
It becomes more than we can handle
It becomes a fire and a flame
That will light the dark and put to shame
Sin, sickness, and heal the lame
Jesus we do all this in Your Name!

Dad, I’m here and it is clear
That my fear will draw You near
How far and high
My sadness will fly
How big can my faith be
Even though I can’t see
I will know You love even me
But I still cry, Dad how and why?

He says, “you are a child of mine”
It is fine trust me and shine
You will be great in my kingdom
Sing some bring some Win some
Pain will gain you your new call
Train your eyes to see beyond the wall
See us as your Dad
The most wonderful parents you’ve ever had
See beyond the damned up pond that when removed
You will flow and annointed you will go
You will reap and sow
And you will grow
You asked and you receive
You trust and believe
My will is done
For you my son
The fight hasn’t started
And you’ve already won
Just claim the same victory
That you see in your family history
Jesus died and rose again
And my son, my friend
You too will rise
With new eyes
Of faith and healing
A new feeling
The world will know
And you will show the glory
Of my Son’s life story
Be faithful and strong
For it is not long
Until you are not just restored
But forged brand new
Of gold and precious stones
Bones of granite
You have it.
You are my son
And to you I say well done

Child of God

I am here when your are mad
I am here when you are scared
I am here when your are glad
Just call on me
Your Father
Your Dad

Your works don't impress
It is not what you do
But who you are
For before you were born
I knew you
And called you

I am here when your are mad
I am here when you are scared
I am here when your are glad
Just call on me
Your Father
Your Dad

I will be your comfort
I am your praise
I will be here
For the rest of your days
When I say come
Follow behind
When I say seek
You shall find

I am here when your are mad
I am here when you are scared
I am here when your are glad
Just call on me
Your Father
Your Dad

Exhortations From God

Fireworks showed and glowed from the freeway
I said this way today
Don’t say where or why
Just get in my plane for the sky high
Fly bye say goodbye
To your old life and say hi to the new
Old strife long gone
There is more planned for you

So your bright light was turned off
Burned off burned out
So send for a friend to be your look out
Stand and shout faith with no doubt
Scream to the earth
About Christ’s birth
God of David, Jacob, and Daniel
He’s mine and our Emmanuel.

Even if they turn off the sun
You’re still going to shine
Because you’ve seen the sign
That these things will be fine
That little bit of peace
That passes and surpasses
All understanding and gives you
A soft landing

Your life is a joy to behold
You’ve been bought to never be sold
Your ministry is your preliminary
Task is all He asks is for you to obey
And do what HE will say
On that very day he died
You were excused from being tried
And being found in guilt
Utter filth but now you’re clean
Most wonderful person He’s ever seen
I mean run for the joy set before you
Cause before you were born
He knew you

Saturday Morning

I think it is time to rhyme
My wordplay to say
My positively negative
Capability combining
My wordy stability
Let me introduce
Produce my new song
Seen by the new division
With your 20/20 vision
No more one hit
Two sit wonder
Blunder of a song
Wrong side of the sun
Right side of bright fun
Water under the bridge across my mind
Is kind of flowing
I don’t know how to show
Which way I’m going
Cook out the look out way
Two timing wonderful day
I’m a missionary
Who leap frogged February
On the skyline up the coast
Walked while I bragged and boast
I proposed a toast to her
While I whine and dine her
Before she finds out
With no doubt
That I’m a down home brother
Red neck undercover
I’ve got that natural ability
With my flexibility
Free range with a little change
I'm sitting on the side
Of this curbside roadside
I try to hid my thumb in the street
My bum on the seat
Wishing and fishing in the heat
Just for something to eat
I'm a little down and a little blue
A big frown and nothing new
If you only knew how much I hunger
For you

But now here I smile
Still near to you down this aisle
All the while I wish you knew
How long I really loved you.

The Devil anticipates moves of God

The last week has been intense to say the least. As God moves in my life and is maturing me into the man that will impact the Kingdom of Heaven the devil seems to be a step ahead. When God gives me revealtion or starts to do something drastic in my life there comes Satan with a myriad of different hardships and problem that attempt to get me down and depressed. Satan is smart; don't underestimate him. After Boston's hardships, we came home with revelation and a ferver for winning the battle in the name of Christ. Since then, almost everyday for me has had its hardship. I hit a deer on the way to church, my dad and I aren't getting along, and I got so sick today I feel like death. My back and neck were killing me. What is going on?????? Sometimes I feel like giving up, but Jesus said, "My grace is sufficient in your weakness."

When you are walking with Christ and hardships comes, ask yourself how a diamond is formed. A lump of coal is crushed by thousands of pounds of pressure for an extended period of time and a diamond is formed. We too are created like that...through hardship and persecution we are formed into diamonds.
